Celebrating Teachers' Day

Teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross, then having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own.
Keeping with the tradition set by our predecessors, we celebrated Teachers Day with the Principal and the faculty of our beloved school - St. John’s. The event was supported by Kava, through its owner Old Boy Akaash Garg from the Class of 1987.

The teachers were received by President Sanjiv Kumar and the executive members for lunch at Kava. After the cake cutting ceremony, the teachers and the executive enjoyed a brief interaction session and had a little tete-a-tete about their days as students in school. Mr. D’Souza, the famous Biology and Chemistry teacher who retired from school in 1992, was the special guest. He was visibly overwhelmed to be amongst “little men” whom he once taught how the “heart” functions and how to balance chemical equations.

The glorious and eventful afternoon concluded with warm hearts saying good-bye to each other.
