Change is the constant, the signal for rebirth, the egg of the phoenix. It was an honour for me at the SJOBA AGM held on 5th of August, 2012, when the collegium of the Past Presidents bestowed me and my team members with the reins of SJOBA for the coming year, to take our organisation to new heights.
SJOBA is an alumnus that has stood apart from others due to its integrity, activities and brotherhood amongst its members. It is the most coveted organisation of the country with events ranging from the Winter Festival to The SJOBA Rally. I assure you that the coming year will be full of similar activities from the past with additions of new ones too for some more fun and frolic.
I would also like to take the opportunity to extend my full support to you relating to all SJOBA matters and request you to kindly feel free to give in your valuable inputs as to how we can take our beloved organisation a step ahead.
Pro Deo Et Patria.
Best Regards,
Sanjiv Kumar

Bro McCann is no more
Bro' McCann left for his heavenly abode on October 2, 2011. There is not one among us whose life was not touched by the man who always had a smile on his face and a witty comment on his tongue. He had a rare charm which made him endearing to everyone he met.
RIP Bro. McCann. You will continue to live in the hearts of all the Johnians.
SJOBA vs St John's Football Match
It was on a hot Saturday (October 1, 2011) morning that the kick-off took place and the Match got started. After an initial couple of attacks from the school team, it was SJOBA who kept more possession and repeatedly attacked the opposition's goal but were unfortunate to not score at the end of the first half. The second half was no different. In spite of a huge turn out of school boys in support of their team, the school boys failed to capitalize on their advantages. Meanwhile, SJOBA kept on attacking their goal but were yet to taste any success.
In a move that proved really fruitful, Captain Ranjit Bajaj pushed Siddharth Sandhu from defence to attack and with that SJOBA went into top gear. In the dying minutes of the game SJOBA got a corner. Rochan's perfect kick landed straight to Pavi who guided it in the goal without any fuss and the whole SJOBA contingent burst in to cheers with their hands up in the air.
The match ended with Principal Mrs. Kavita Das presenting the Bro. Meredith Trophy to SJOBA and as tradition goes Ranjit and Golly Sir presented the trophy back to the School team.
Scenes on the sidelines were more entertaining with Old Boys Vineet Khurana, Rahul Datta, Pritpal Singh Matharu, Nar Singh ( who came up from Delhi specially for the match) and Kanwar Walia recounting various incidents from their time spent in the school. In what was a fitting end to a match which was characterized by brotherhood, camaraderie and excellent sporting spirit both the teams sat down to enjoy a wonderful snack box and chilled lassi.

Celebrating Teachers' Day
Someone has rightly said "A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light to make the way for others."
So to acknowledge the respect, the dedication and the love given by our teachers to us, on September 5, 2011, SJOBA arranged for a movie show for all the teachers of St John's, followed by Lunch at Kava.
The SJOBA Executive extended a warm welcome to all the teachers with roses.
In the end, Mrs.Kavita Das, Principal St John's, thanked SJOBA for the gift in the form of a very enjoyable outing.
